9' ft Bayliner 3218 1988 A Bayliner 3218 MY is a rare find on the Texas Coast! This is a great, affordable family cruiser with an innovative interior layout. Head Moving aft to STBD is a large head with vanity, sink, storage and a separate, curtained shower area. The Commode has a manual pump and is serviced by an Electro/San Marine Sanitization Device (MSD). Effluent discharge can be directed to a holding tank w/ deck pump out via a ‘Y’-valve. The holding tank is serviced by a macerator. A holding tank alert system warns when the holding tank is full. Galley To PORT is a great live aboard galley complete with Norcold refrigerator/freezer, pressurized hot & cold water, built in Sanyo microwave, Princess electric 3 burner range with oven, double stainless steel sinks, spacious countertop, storage for food, plates, utensils, and more. Moving aft is the Lower Helm station and a spacious raised salon. Wrap around windows provide 360 degree sight for the lower helm and salon. There is an abundance of beautiful teak throughout the interior. A heater operated by the engine cooling water warms the galley and the salon. Additionally, the area is served by three reverse cycle A/C units. An Audio Vox stereo system provides music to the interior and the flybridge. Lower Helm To STBD in the salon is the lower helm station with helm, throttle and gear controls, full instrument panel, VHF radio, depth sounder, and electrical switch board panel with 2-30 amp, 120v circuits, diesel generator control panel, the battery monitoring panel, the wildcat/windless control switch, and the holding tank monitoring gage. Dinette/Berth To PORT in the raised salon is the ‘L’- shaped settee and dinette table. The settee can be converted to make a double berth. There is a smaller cocktail/coffee table that can be installed in place of the dinette table. This configuration further opens up the salon.Master Stateroom Amidships and below the raised salon is the master stateroom consisting of a vanity with sink and storage, a king size berth, and its own reverse cycle A/C. The insulated aft bulkhead of the master stateroom also contains two insulated panels providing access to the forward end of the main engines, the Racor Fuel separators/filters, and engine and generator sea suction strainers. In the master stateroom sole is the access to 1 auto cycle bilge pump. Mechanical Room A lighted mechanical room to STBD below the salon is easily accessible from the master stateroom. The mechanical room contains the Lectra/San MSD, sea suctions for the head and the three reverse cycle air conditioning systems, electric battery charger, holding tank, water heater, and shower sump pump. Cockpit Moving to the cockpit, there are two large hatches that provide the main access to the engines, generator, 3 batteries, 3 bilge pumps (1 auto cycle and 2 controlled by float switches), and a high water alarm. The 8 kW Kohler generator can carry the electrical 120 volt for the boat. To PORT in the cockpit is a cabinet with sink, pressurized water faucet, and storage. Amidships is a teak-tread ladder to the fly bridge. STBD is the salon entry door. There is full enclosure for the cockpit. Cockpit Gunwales The Cockpit gunwales are capped with teak. There is also a raised teak railing on the transom providing additional safety for crew and passengers in heavy weather. Two sections of the railing can be raised to give better access to the swim platform and boarding ladder. Swim Platform The swim platform has a detachable stainless steel boarding ladder. Flybridge The Flybridge has a second set of helm controls, instruments, VHF radio, depth sounder, GPS, horn, high intensity light ( auto sweep, auto SOS, and flood or spot). There is a captain’s chair and seating for 5 or more. The radar arch has cottage/mood lighting. Two radio antennas, a TV antenna and the GPS antenna are mounted on the hard top bimini that covers the flybridge. Flybridge Deck Extension The flybridge deck extension extends over cockpit. A teak-tread ladder leads from the deck extension to the cockpit and continues to the swim platform. A second teak-tread ladder leads to the top of the hard top bimini that shades the flybridge. Side Decks, Foredeck, Bowsprit and Bow The stainless steel bow pulpit rail surrounds a bowsprit with anchor roller and anchor. The bow pulpit rail extends aft PORT and STBD to the cockpit. Ample side decks, with stainless steel stations and rails, provide safe passage to the foredeck. Stainless steel fender holders are mounted on the foredeck rails. There is a hatch in the forward cabin top to the forward berth. There is a Lofrans electric anchor wildcat/windlass to handle the rode from the chain locker. There is also a flush storage locker for a second anchor and rode on the foredeck. Docking lights are mounted in the bow for those times when you stay out to watch a beautiful sunset or catch one more fish.
