The 26.6 is the only outboard model that Bertram ever made. Bertram produced this model from 1975 through 1977. Due to demand, Bertram made 2 more production runs in 1984 and 1985, so they are very scarce.
I am the second owner of this boat. This Bertram has a big beam (ten feet) and a deep vee. All new enclosures (four sides) were installed in July 2007. She weighs in at 5100 lbs. without engines, overall about 6500 lbs. with a pair of 200 HP Mercury’s. She cruises nicely at a respectable 32 mph, with a top end around 45 mph.
When you look at the size of the cuddy cabin is when you begin to realize that this boat is nearly 27 feet long. It is surprisingly large, so if you are young and adventurous, its not beyond the realm of taking a long trip in a small boat. The space is plenty large for over- nighting, along with plenty of space for stowing gear.
This boat has had a recent service and runs great. Turn key and ready to roll.
