9' ft Deltaville Charter Boat 1959

Recently Extensively Renovated!!!

This 1959 party boat was built heavy with oak framing and her hull planking is old growth long leaf yellow, one of the best material ever to build boats with. The current owners started renovating her in 2001. In 2001 two 50 gallon plastic cylinders for water were added and one 240 gallon tank was added for waste. They also put in a 265 gallon aluminum fuel tank and in 2002 added a 275 gallon steel fuel tank (a 265 gallon aluminum tank has been built as well but not installed). The hull was refastened and frames rebolted and then they installed epoxy-reinforced fabric around rudder and shaft penetrations and removed, realigned and refastened the struts. All of the de-watering piping was also replaced in 2001. In 2001-2003 there was extensive wiring work done to get 30 amp and 110v shore power.

In 2004 renovations continued, the sheathed chine area was epoxy-reinforced and they reinforced the areas around the lifting strap areas. All planks that needed replacement have been replaced at each yearly haul-out. The last thing to be done in 2004 was the main cabin sides and front were removed and replaced as necessary and resheathed with plywood and epoxy-reinforced.

In 2007 outside waists were replaced aft of name boards. The main deck from the stern to main cabin doors was removed and replaced with plywood and polyester reinforced biaxial fabric.

The vessel was certified in 2006 for 97 passengers, 3 crew and a coastwise route (20 miles). Her stability letter is for 120 passengers.
