The “Bertha L” is a classic Jarvis Newman 36’ down east cruiser. These boats were built up in Southwest Harbor, ME and are considered by many to be the prettiest and most seaworthy of all of the lobster style picnic and commercial hulls. Many owners have taken these traditional beauties and customized them into high end cruising yachts that if you check around are selling for 3 or 4 times as much as this one.
 
She was built in 1976 and is powered by a 1980 Perkins TG 3544 M diesel engine with 2000 hours. Some features include an Ideal windless, propane stove, an aluminum mast with lifting tackle, stainless steel bow rail, teak swim platform, Ritchie compass and an electric head. The cabin top has some soft sports and would benefit from restoration.
