Zodiac of North America, Inc. (ZNA) is a subsidiary of Zodiac S.A., the world’s largest manufacturer of rigid-hull inflatable boats, inflatable boats, life rafts, and marine safety equipment, and the world’s oldest manufacturer of inflatable boats.

The Mark V’s are in a unique range of larger inflatables that are designed primarily to carry heavy loads at planing speeds due to their patented Futura hull shape. The HD boats use heavy materials and are reinforced throughout making them suitable for extreme service. Even at sizes up to seven meters, they can still be rolled up into a bag and thrown into the back of a pickup truck or aircraft.

Galley Equipment: None.

Electronic and Navigational Gear: The helm is equipped with key-start ignition, sport steering wheel, forward/reverse throttle, Yamaha tachometer, and dash mounted electronics. Electronic and navigational gear includes Garmin GPSMAP 198C GPS/plotter/sounder, submersible West Marine 500 dsc VHF marine radio, Worldwide map chip, and Ritchie compass. Other electronic and navigational gear includes Shakespeare VHF antenna, GPS antenna, and sounder transducer (transom mount) with bracket.

Electrical/Gas/Plumbing: The 12-volt electrical system is powered by one marine battery.

Hull & Deck Gear: The hull is constructed of Strongnan Duotex. This new kind of fabric is exclusive to Zodiac. It is made up of a polyester rot-proof, Duotex textile backing providing extraordinary strength, and a polyurethane-based coating, giving an especially tough product. The transom is built of marine plywood and equipped with four self bailers, aluminum engine mounting plate, engine transom pad, transom triangular deflector, transom bottom stainless steel protection shoe, and transom filler for two-engine installation. The floorboard consists of four anti-skid anodized aluminum plates, marine plywood at bow, two aluminum profile stringers, and fixed bow thrust board.

Other hull and deck gear includes teak bow floor boards, inflatable keel, Futura hull design, four buoyancy tube intercommunication/inflation valves, keel inflation valve, and two inflation valves on hoses to speed tubes, wrap-around exterior lifeline, teak bow seat with vinyl covered cushion, fiberglass center console, windshield, stainless steel console rail, lockable electronics compartment, lower console stowage compartment, bench helm seat with vinyl covered cushion, cushioned backrest, under-seat stowage compartment, oar rack, oar, and kicker motor bracket. Canvas inventory includes Bimini top and full boat cover. Fishing and sports gear includes stainless steel rod holder.

Equipment & Engine Details: The boat and trailer package includes a galvanized single-axle E-Z loader trailer. Trailer features include two carpeted bunks, hand-crank bow winch, safety chain, safety straps, disc brakes, spare tire, extend-a-hitch, trailer stand with hand-crank winch, and lights.

Engine Details: The power package includes main and kicker engines. The main engine is a 2005 90 HP Yamaha fuel injected four-stroke outboard gas engine with only ten hours. She cruises at 23 knots and reaches maximum speed of 27 knots. Other main engine features include aluminum three blade prop and 25-gallon plastic portable tank. The kicker engine is a brand new Yamaha 8 HP four-stroke gas outboard with 0 hours and three-blade prop.

Remarks: Imagine a high performance boat that is durable enough to meet the mission needs of Navy SEALs and the U.S. Coast Guard, and seaworthy enough to go anywhere, in any weather, at any time. You can’t fit such a boat into any existing classification. This is truly an adventure boat!
